What is Ramadan?

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is a special period for Muslims, a period of reflection, of meditation and of devotion to God. Every day from sunrise to sunset, the Muslims completely restrain themselves from eating, drinking, and smoking, but also from bad speaking, getting angry and being unjust...

At the same time, it is also an opportunity to share the meal with others, in other words, a moment of conviviality.

Convinced that this will make an enormous contribution to social relationships and mutual understanding, we launch the Taste & Meet project. We have asked our volunteers to share an iftar meal with families.
With this initiative, we want to underline the importance of dialogue, diversity, pluralism, living together, solidarity and hospitality to connect Muslims and non-Muslims. Moreover, through this initiative, we want to strengthen the bond between the different communities.

For this year's Ramadan, we invite you all to meet and get to know each other during an iftar dinner.
